About Sherif Abuzid
Being a 6-year old boy, that blue book was the only book I could not read in my uncle’s library. When I become 9, I found out it is Longman’s students English-English dictionary! By that time, I would read all the Arabic newspapers, but could not understand any letters of English. The first one I learned was “H”, do not know why!
I am a native Arabic speaker with a strong passion for languages and cultures. So, I studied the English language in faculty and started out my career in language industry in 2004 as a freelance Arabic translator and now I run TranslationPartner, a translation agency specialized in Middle Eastern and African languages.
I am married to a beautiful woman named "Sabah" and a father of four Children; Mayar (Girl), Ahmed (Boy), Moaz (Boy) and Dalia (Girl). This is my small family. However, I still live very close to my larger family; my father, mother my other six brothers and sisters :). This is who things go in the countryside of Egypt. You should be close to your family. I left my big family house after having three children, I am not kidding 🙂
In short, trying new things and sharing my knowledge. I found my passion at the age of 35! Yes, it took me sometime, but this is what life is. You need to go through many experiences till you truly find what you love. This is why I built Translators Growth. This is where I share my experiences in the translation and localization world.
